I think this is my last wedding of 2006

The newlyweds from September 2nd wedding insisted upon treating us to a lunch. And I asked (please~!) to take us to a cheap place so I wouldn’t feel embarrassed. They gave me the direction to a restaurant in West Hills in San Fernando Valley. This restaurant turned out to be a real fancy brunch place.

It was my first time ever to eat a trout. I didn’t even know the name of tasty soup that came before the main meal. The brunch came with champagne and bread.

For a short time I had a funny thought. I thought ‘How do I know if I’m really eating a  trout? I have never eaten a trout before in my life… so this can be a mystery fish’. It was an excellent fish by the way.

I was too shy to take pictures. I managed to take 2 quick shots so I can show and tell.

I gave the bride and groom their wedding album. They liked it.  A few days later they wrote a recommendation post on my web site. I felt very special to be appreciated like this when I’m the one who should be thanking them. I will remember this forever. Thank you very much.

I had a wedding scheduled for today, but the wedding was cancelled.
This is the second wedding that got cancelled this year.
I hope everything will work out for the best for them.

Ordinarily wedding photography deposit is non-refundable.
I often turn down clients because dates are already taken.
But, if nobody asked for that date, I will give them a refund.

I went to the photo lab and picked up the pictures from July 22nd Santa Barbara Wedding . Pictures I took on the beach came out pretty good.  I hope the client will let me use some of their images on my website so I can share them with you.

PS. I wrote this blog entry at the cafe in Moorpark…  I’m just relaxing here…

I was getting ready to ship out the finished album to my client from Wedgewood Wedding (June 30). Then I have noticed that they live in the same city as one of my coworkers.  So I asked my coworker to deliver it to them for me.  Next day, I have received an email from my client saying thank you. 

I saved $19.00 on shipping.

I made a deal with my coworker that I would treat her a lunch.  First she was happy with a burger or sandwich ($5.00).  Then she learned that I saved almost $20.00 on shipping.  Now she’s demending a $10.00 lunch.

Wedding album from June 6 (Long Beach) wedding was delivered at Starbucks Coffee in Porter Ranch.

They were happy with my pictuers.

I pushed out all the jobs. I have nothing in my to do list.

I’m ready for 5-6 weddings coming up next 4 weeks.
Bring ‘em on~!!

I met 2 clients after work, 6pm and 8 pm, to deliver albums.
Both of them liked the pictures.

October 15th wedding was booked (deposit received today).

This morning, my April 8th wedding customer left me a good customer testimonial at my website.
Thank You 

Both April 28th wedding and May 6th Bar Mitzvah jobs are now ready for delivery.
Clients were contacted.  Schedules were set to deliver them in person.

I sent an email to May 22nd wedding client to check on wedding information.

I have about 50 albums on hand.
But they are all wedding albums.
So, I went to Ross to find some albums for Bar Mitzvah.

I found 2 cool ones (good for both parents and 13 years old boy).

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day.
Sunday is always busy, so we’ve decided to have a dinner today (Saturday).
On my way to the Valley, I dropped by at Simi Valley Photo Labs and picked up Bar Mitzvah pictures from May 6.

Pictures came out good.
I was worried about the reflections, but it turned out OK.
All the slow shutter pictures came out sharp.

After work, I drove to Santa Paula to return April 22nd wedding albums.
They loved the pictures.

I had a meeting with a client at Encino, San Fernando Valley.
They live in Torrance, so Encino was the mid-point.
Starbucks there was very loud with heavy traffic.
September 2nd wedding was booked on the spot - deposit was made 

After the meeting I went to Simi Valley Photo Labs to pick up April 22nd wedding AND drop off April 28th wedding.

PS: After writing this blog, my April 22nd wedding client read this page.  She emailed and said she wanted to see a few samples ASAP.  So, I’ve decided to burn midnight oil and finish this package tonight and deliver to them tomorrow to her house.  It will be my pleasure.
